เกจวัดแรงดันลมขนาดเล็ก of the six API 610 VS4 pumps are pour level depressant pumps that are 18m in size and the other four are methanol raise pumps which are 10m long.
All of the pumps have PT100 temperature sensors that have been designed and constructed along the length of the pumps to watch the temperature of every bearing individually.
The 18m long pumps incorporate a supporting system of brackets that Amarinth has designed which attaches every pump to its tank during installation ensuring that because the pump is lowered into the tank it stays completely aligned, reducing vibration and wear during operation.
Once assembled, the pumps were independently witness examined and authorized by DNV at Amarinth’s facility in Rendlesham, UK. The pumps had been then disassembled into 3m segments and shipped to Singapore where the FPSO (floating production storage and offloading unit) is being constructed.
The pump supply and set up had to align with the FPSO build schedule. Because of the length of the pumps, they had to be put in into the vessel’s tanks by way of the deck before one other deck above the pumps could be built. The first part was accomplished efficiently over the Christmas period with Amarinth’s Engineering Commissioning staff supporting the client with the set up and commissioning.
The FPSO shall be positioned within the KG-DWN 98/2 area, approximately 22 km off the east coast of Kakinada, India. The vessel is designed to supply as much as 90 000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and have a 1.3-million-barrel storage facility. It shall be equipped to handle the monsoon circumstances prevalent at the subject.
